  1. 1: The movie version of this book is not an accurate depiction of the book. Although most details are similar in context, the movie adds more romance and fluff than the realistic point of view of the book.
2: This history of mental illness gives a brief overview of how mental illnesses were treated over the decades. I want to understand how hospitals treated patients in the 1960s so I could compare it to McLean. McLean performed hydrotherapy and Electric shock treatment. Also, the most popular drug used for behavior/mental disorders.
    3. I wanted to know the symptoms of Susanna's illness. I read the symptoms and compared them to her admission papers to see if they were correct to diagnose Susanna with Borderline Personality Disorder.
    4. I was curious as to how the actual cure compared to how the hospital "cured" Susanna.
    5. This map shows the current psychiatric hospitals in the U.S.
